Pengaruh Program MAOS (Membaca Asyik Olah Storytelling) Terhadap Kemampuan Literasi Siswa Sekolah Dasar

Literacy skills are essential competencies that support students’ academic achievement and lifelong learning. However, many elementary school students still experience difficulties in developing reading comprehension and literacy engagement. Therefore, innovative literacy programs are needed to create meaningful and enjoyable learning experiences. This study aimed to determine the effect of the MAOS Program (Membaca Asyik Olah Storytelling) on students’ literacy skills at SDN 1 Tranjang Ponorogo. The study employed a quantitative approach using a causal-inferential research design. The sample consisted of 38 fourth-, fifth-, and sixth-grade students who had participated in the MAOS Program. Data were collected through Likert-scale questionnaires and documentation. The data were analyzed using SPSS version 27, including descriptive statistics, validity and reliability tests, normality and linearity tests, simple linear regression, tests for heteroscedasticity, t-tests, and coefficient of determination analysis. The results revealed that the MAOS Program had a positive and significant effect on students’ literacy skills, as indicated by a significance value of 0.001 (< 0.05). The regression coefficient of 1.481 indicated that improvements in the implementation of the MAOS Program were associated with increases in students’ literacy skills. Furthermore, the coefficient of determination (R²) of 61% indicated that the program made a substantial contribution to literacy development. The findings suggest that integrating reading activities, storytelling, and digital media can effectively enhance literacy skills and student engagement. Therefore, the MAOS Program can serve as an innovative and practical alternative for literacy learning in elementary schools and may support the development of literacy-based educational programs.
