Abstract

This research aims to explain Islamic Religious Education at UPT SD Negeri 308 using media and visuals in shaping Muslim culture. The objective of this research is to explain Islamic teaching through education provided by the school to create a Muslim community culture. This research employs a descriptive method involving data collection through observation, surveys, and documentation, as well as data analysis through data condensation, presentation, and verification. The research findings indicate several steps in teaching Islamic Religious Education using picture-and-picture media: (a) introduction, (b) explaining the subject matter using picture-and-picture media, (c) evaluation, and (d) closure. Additionally, there are several steps in how teachers shape Islamic character using picture-and-picture media: (a) teachers provide good examples, such as arranging pictures of the correct way to perform ablution, (b) teachers convey moral messages, such as the example of the noble character of Hasan bin Ali, and (c) teachers demonstrate honesty
